What the statuses mean
- Active authority — the company may move household goods across state lines today. Still confirm insurance on file and the fleet on its profile.
- Authority revoked — the FMCSA cancelled its authority, usually for lapsed insurance or unpaid fees. Some keep operating anyway; do not hire them for an interstate move.
- Authority inactive — it held authority once and let it lapse. Same rule as revoked.
- Never granted — it applied but never completed the process. It has no interstate authority.
